College of Home Science has a well equipped Library with latest information technology based resources like CD ROM, database search, OPAC, Internet Browsing etc. for the benefit of the students, faculties and researchers. The Library has been spread across an area of 4402 square ft and can accommodate 100 readers.

The Library has robust collection of 22755 books and library operations have been completely automated using soul software. The library linked with various consortiums for online journals. This library provides a HUB connecting LAN acting as a nodal center for disseminating all kinds of information to the University and CDFST College.

Book Bank

In view of improving textbook availability a book bank was started in the year 1975 at College of Home Science. All the U.G, P.G, Ph.D. students are eligible to take advantage of the book bank. Membership fees is Rs 15 per semester. Member will get 3 books from available stock of books with the book bank. A rent @ 10% of the cost of the books shall be charged for one full semester, whether books are taken for semester or for few days. No rental will be charged  from the students of SC/ST for the books purchased from of TSP grant.

Rent charge collected is being utilized for purchasing books in the book bank.  Student will have to return all the books taken from the book bank immediately after the examinations otherwise overdue charges will also be levied at the rate of Rs 5 per day/book.
