Workshops:

A one day workshop was organized on 26th May, 2015 for graduate (vocational package), post graduate, Ph D and pass out students of Home Science. The purpose of the workshop was to equip the students with necessary skills to increase their placement opportunities. It also aimed to indicate that a wholesome approach to personality development is necessary to achieve goals i.e. physical as well as intellectual abilities should be nurtured side by side. About 41 students participated in the workshop.

Field Expert Lectures:

Five experts were invited in each of these workshops who focused on job avenues, soft skills, interview skills, resume basics, cover letter and thanks writing tips, job search techniques and personal grooming tips on getting ready for an interview.

Mock Sessions:

Mock interviews were conducted for the students to gain confidence and experience of giving an actual employment interview. This helps the students to learn what is expected in a job interview and improves their self-presentation. Three experts were invited for the mock sessions. The mock interview experts provided constructive feedback on all aspects of the interview process.

Placement Fair:

Two days placement fair in collaboration with District Employment Bureau was planned on 30th and 31st May, 2015 for graduate and post graduate and pass out students of Home Science. The purpose of the fair was to invite placement agencies related to the home science under one roof. Various agencies like Birla Sun Life, Choudhary Offset, Achievers, Adarsh Bank, Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India, Redison Blue, Reliance Life Insurance Co., Fusion Outsourcing, Big Bazar, KS Motors, Anushka Group, ICICI Prudential, ICICI RESETI, NSDC-LLJT, RSLDC-India CAN, Gramin Vikas Trust visited the placement fair. The Fair made the students aware about the placement opportunities and also absorbed deserving aspirants. Thirty two home science students were selected in the first round of interview by the various agencies.
